I did attend the ALA-sponsored NPR tour, and we didn't get asked to do an "interview"! Lucky you! We too had Alan as our tour guide. He was quite entertaining. I found it funny that Kee Malesky (NPR librarian extraordinaire) stood up at the "Hollywood Librarian" movie premiere and said watching the movie made her wish she was a public reference librarian, and a cataloguer, etc. - I'm sure I wasn't the only one in the audience thinking, "I wish I was a NPR librarian"!
